It was a great central location , perfect for seeing the city just 15 minutes from the museum district and 5 minutes from uncle lee‘s food market , the best buffet restaurant I have ever had pleasure of visiting as food is fresh and very tasty. Would recommend to those looking for a a nice break away . They do a good quality breakfast and they is a goods selection for the everyone to enjoy. The staff were great and were very helpful and room was spotless and beds were very comfortable.
The only reason 9 instead of 10 was lack of hot beverage making facility but this was flagged that there was none in the rooms as part of the deal so I am being a bit picky but it would have been nice to have a cuppa in the evening in the room.

Our stay at Hotel Kolping Wien Zentral was great! The 24-hour reception staff was very kind and helpful. We were lucky to check in 4 hours early as a free room was available.
Our room was clean, quiet, comfortable, and spacious enough for two people. Breakfast was delicious, though the fruit selection was limited (only apples, oranges, and pears) and not very fresh, along with the cucumbers and tomatoes. Tip: Go early (around 7:00 AM) to avoid waiting for a table after 9:00 AM.
The location was excellent, with a SPAR supermarket and a beer shop with 1,000+ types of beer nearby. WiFi was stable, and the luggage storage was convenient, even for a week. However, security is your own responsibility.
Overall, a very nice experience—highly recommended! ?
Twice, at different times, a staff member opened our room without checking if it was okay to enter—this was very bad. Also, no refrigerator in the room—if you need one, it costs €5 per night extra, and there is no kettle available at all in the hotel.
Because of these issues, I rated 9 instead of 10.

I extended my stay with one day and after that my room key did not work. For some reason the personnel did not realize that I should have received new keycards. Location was perfect. Outside the touristy centre, but surrounded by great cafes, close to Naschmarkt, very easy to travel anywhere from this area.
There was a bizarre amount of storage in the room - two big wardrobes, plus lots and lots of shelving.

Breakfast was more basic than expected based on reviews I had read. Breakfast room was often full, I had to share my table on one morning. Keep your expectations low for the breakfast.
Room was basic, as advertised. No AC, my room on the 5th floor was uncomfortably warm (visited in Spring, didn't get above 25C outside). An oscillating fan was provided which helped a little, but still had some uncomfortable nights.

The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from Vienna’s famous food market and about 15 minutes from the Opera. There’s also a SPAR grocery store conveniently located on the ground floor.
The staff were very friendly and professional. Even though I informed them about our arrival just 30 minutes in advance, they still provided us with a parking spot, which was much appreciated.
Breakfast was simple but enough to get you going for the day. The hotel seems to be a repurposed campus building, which gives it a unique feel.
If you're looking for a clean, budget-friendly place to sleep that’s close to the city center, I’d definitely recommend this hotel.
What I disliked: The floor in the room was dusty, and the noise from the street could be a problem if you’re a light sleeper. We were situated on the first floor.

The location is excellent—everything is within walking distance, including museums, the Opera, the main shopping street, a local market, and a supermarket conveniently located next door. The room is spacious, very clean and quiet.
The facility doesn't have air conditioning or a freezer, which makes it less comfortable and less practical. Also, the interior design feels plain and could be more exciting. The outside of the building looks modern and lively, but the inside doesn't match that impression.

As someone who values fair pricing, this booking met my expectations. I’d say we got lucky, but since we arrived in Wien on a night train, we had to wait a few hours before check-in. We went to the property, and they let us in ahead of time. I was expecting just to drop off our bags, but instead, we were able to get our room early, what a nice surprise!
I would’ve been pleased with at least a single queen bed. I traveled with my wife, and even though the beds were practically touching, the gap between the pillows made it a little uncomfortable.

The hotel’s best feature is its location, which made it easy to walk to most of the places I wanted to visit. Breakfast was decent, though lacking in variety. The staff we met in the corridors were polite and helpful.
Unfortunately, the hotel felt more like a student dorm than a proper hotel. The layout requires guests to walk long corridors and climb stairs, which can be inconvenient. The rooms are very basic: wooden furniture, no carpets, no mirror, no air-conditioning, no fridge, and no balcony. It is extremely overpriced for what it offers. On arrival, the bin in my room was already full, and an empty energy drink can was left on the table, which was disappointing. Noise was also an issue, as doors slamming shut loudly disturbed other guests.

Hard tiled floor in the bedroom and 2 single beds pushed together for a double. Ordinarily, this is ok, but the beds had a solid wood surround preventing the mattresses from coming together.

After viewing the rooms with his female colleague, we decided to take them, and I paid the full amount. My colleague left for the room while I stayed to wait for the printed invoices.
While waiting, I noticed that the receptionist had written my colleague’s name incorrectly, so I reminded him to correct it. I also asked whether the room had tissues. He told me it did not and tried to find some for me. After a moment, he handed a box of tissues to me. I thanked him, but as soon as I took it, another receptionist — a middle-aged man who had just arrived around ten minutes earlier — suddenly grabbed it away from me and said that every room already had tissues. I explained that I hadn’t noticed and that his colleague had said there were none, but he dismissed me.
Then the middle-aged receptionist abruptly began scolding me. He said, “We are fed up with you,” “You are a difficult person with too many requests,” “Vienna has many five-star hotels, and this is only a two-star hotel,” and, “You should leave right now — we don’t want you here.” I was shocked. I told him that I had already paid in full and asked how he could threaten me like that. He replied, “I will call the police,” and added, “You should look at yourself in the mirror.” I found his comments extremely offensive. I asked him to repeat what he said on my phone camera, and then he immediately went silent.
After the corrected invoices were finally printed, the young receptionist apologized to me and said I had done nothing wrong.

There was a parking problem because the parking spaces were full, and I paid for parking at another lot. So when you stay at the hotel, call them before you arrive.

The breakfast was tasty and offered a great variety. The room was a good size (not small at all) and the bed was very comfortable. The shower/bathroom was spotless and well maintained. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and it was quiet at night so we slept very well. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The location is excellent — very close to the metro and bus stops, and also within walking distance to the city center and main attractions. There are plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby, which was very convenient.
Nothing in particular — overall everything met our expectations and we had a very pleasant stay.

Convenient location, about 25 minute walk to the old city, or just a few metro stops. Nearby flea market on Saturdays. Comfortable, well appointed room. Excellent breakfast buffet.
Other reviews have mentioned that it looks a bit like a university dormitory and that is true, but didn’t bother us.

I was in this hotel several times, and I am always amazed by it. Location is excellent (less than a minute walk to Naschmarkt, 10 minutes walk to Opera, 3 minutes to Mariahilfer str ....). Breakfast is really typical but great. Rooms are clean, spacious, light, and well-equipped. Underground garage is great and affordable (17 EUR/night). Best of all is stuff, they are more then helpfull, friendly, always smiling, and everything is possible. Overall best value for the money in Vienna's wide center. I will come back again.

The location is excellent, close to 2 metro stations and walking distance to center and both main train stations. It's actually a student dorm and a hotel, so it's always good to support such initiatives. Room was quite big, clean, everything is well maintained. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Fast and stable WIFI. Don't expect any extra services, it's a place to stay for short time, but overall it's a great value for the price.
Tbh, it exceeded my initial expectations, so I don't really have any dislikes. The hotel is basic, but within that covers all that is needed in a clean and well maintained manner.

The location is great, close to two metro stations, and really easy to walk everywhere from the hotel. The room was as expected, and the breakfast as well. Breakfast is the same every morning but there is enough variety to chose from. All in all, great value for the money, clean, confrontable and close to public transportation.
Not that I didn't like something but a refrigerator in the rooms would be a nice addition, I wasn't expecting it as I saw ahead of time that the rooms don't have one, but just saying, something to think about. If the rooms are facing the street, which was the case with our room, window blinds would be better then the curtains.
