The hotel is very well situated. I have been to Sofia several times and knew this was in a 'good' area. I have found staff variable in welcome and assistance but the staff here were excellent at all times. A large, comfortable and well equipped room. The spa area is also well run and easily accessed.

The hotel is located away from everything. The 2 subway stations are 15 mins walk from hotel, so unless you rely on taxis all the time you will walk long distances. No convenience store near the hotel. Wi-Fi is somewhat mediocre.

The rooms were extremely warm and we could not arrange the temperature individually as there is a central heating system, so we had to sleep with the windows open in the middle of winter. The parking is not included in the price of the room, which is not very professional.

This is my 5th time staying in this hotel. The only thing I did not like was the room. It was fourth floor so the triangular roof of the building was actually inside the room taking space and low ceiling that I would hit my head when moving around. Room was not as clean as usual. Theme of the room was not pleasant and the shower gel in the bath was empty which tells that room was not checked properly.

The staff has no experience. They are young and inexperience and have no care for the clients. In the pool there were a lot of children with instructors that didn't stay in the hotel. I was especially impressed by the spa services. I tried them all, including a Relaxation Massage with Alexander, who worked wonders on my pain points. The restaurant, barista service, and overall dining atmosphere were outstanding.

The building and rooms are quite new and clean.
It is not a 5 stars service. It would expect room being clean every day before noon and not in the evening when everybody is back. A cleaning lady tried to enter to my room twice when I was there and it was ~16.
I have booked a room with a breakfast included and on the reception I was told I have a room without breakfast and I need to pay again. I had to find the booking details to confirm I have breakfast paid.

Enjoyed our stay at Maison Sofia. I would recommend if you want to see different Sofia, more calm and tranquil.
Hotel facilities are amazing, spa was a big plus after a long day of city strolling, was a good rest. Room was very spacious. Plus that they were pet friendly!

Spa was wonderful, sauna and steam room was clean and spacious.
The restaurant was great! The food was tasty.
Parking is chargeable 13โฌ a day. Absolutely unnecessary.

- i strongly needed a king size bed , i paid for one , but the size was not even for a queen size. Was about 140-150 cm
- omlettte was cold , and coffee very bad at breakfast
- air con needs to be set on the main screen , very annoying if it gets hot in the middle of the night, to get up and try figure how to turn it on

Breakfast room and food are great! swimming pool and sauna room also great. if you drive, I will highly recommend this hotel. around 10-15 min to downtown. We walked 13 min to a restaurant 'ili Beirut' near the hotel. Perfect food, ambiance, and service.

The hotel was really nice overall. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The spa facilities were great, and we especially enjoyed the steam room and the swimming pool. The restaurant within the hotel was very convenient to have, and their terrace is beautiful and the food was excellent. The staff, for the most part, was very friendly.
The housekeeping was a bit sloppy. Only on the day before our departure was the room cleaned properly, otherwise it was done in a rush. I think they might have a staff shortage for housekeeping.
Another thing I found strange was that we sat for a glass of wine on their terrace two nights in a row. First night we were charged 8 Lev for a glass of wine, the other night we were charged 8 Euros for a glass of wine. I mentioned this when paying and they said that "recently" their prices changed, and I asked if they changed overnight and they said "yes". In any case, I assume this was a mistake somewhere, but then just say it was a mistake instead of inventing a supposed overnight price change.
Another thing that would be nice to have, especially in a 5 star hotel, is a mini bar, which our room did not have.
