I had a private room overlooking a parking lot โ it was very loud outside, and the windows are not soundproof and cannot be locked. The curtains let too much light through. There was a hole in the wall for the AC but it was too large and let noise/heat through. The room was close to reception.

The place is extra clean, newly renovated, stylish, and the rooms has all u need!
The locations is very central walking to Tahrir square and all restaurants.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, they advise about places,trips, restaurants, and anything u need and they are available 24/7.
There is good kitchen to cook ur own food, and they provide pretty breakfast .
Their prices are very reasonable and will fit ur budget from the dorm room to the single , double, triple, quadruple rooms.
I recommend landmark hostel cairo to all who meed central, affordable, clean, stylish hostel with friendly staff.
It will be my first choice anytime.

Lovely hostel! Everything was super clean and the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. They provide such a welcoming atmosphere!:) Breakfast was excellent! They also have a washing machine you can use. Overall had a wonderful experience!
Some of the electrical outlets were difficult to use, seemed impossible to fit a plug into some of them and others required a lot of force. But not a huge problem.

Very hospitable and amazing location! Itโs very close to multiple metro lines, and is right in the bustling heart of Cairo. I had a single room and the facilities were clean and the bed was comfortable. The highlight though was when I was in the reception area killing time before my bus and the lady working at reception invited me to eat some food with her, and would not let me pay. They also let me do my laundry, it felt like being at home.
Bathroom can be wet but they provide a tool to dry the floors and push the water into the drain โ itโs fairly common in the region but some might not be used to it.

This hostel was my little oasis in chaotic Cairo. The facilities in the dorm room were among the best that Iโve used at hostels. Theyโre the cleanest because theyโre cleaned every day. I was especially pleased that there were no insects. Breakfast was very filling.
I was most impressed with the staff at this hostel. Most of them were university students, working part-time while attending school. They were always cheerful and friendly whenever I interacted with them. I got the impression that they genuinely enjoyed doing their job and being helpful to others. I flew a long way to Egypt looking to view historical sites and artifacts, but the highlight of my Egypt trip was meeting these young people at Landmark Hostel. Whatever degrees or careers they end up with, I wish them success.

We loved our stay here for our first few nights in Cairo. Awesome location to base from in Cairo. Plenty of food and coffee options in walking distance. Felt really safe in this neighbourhood even though itโs downtown. The staff are so nice. Martin was great to talk to, he spoke really good English. The included breakfast is so good!
The elevator is a fun experience. The hostel is only one level on level 7 in a large building. A handy tip to know is if someone hasnโt closed the lift door on another level it wonโt work so you can be taking the stairs a bit to get the level where someone has left the door open at. We didnโt mind but some people might struggle.
Shower and toilet was all in one space with no shower screen so all the bathroom got wet when you showered but it is really manageable.

The building is quite old, and the elevator sometimes had issues, which meant having to go up or down from the 7th floor by stairs. The breakfast area was very limited in space. Also, the bathroom inside the shared room caused constant noise and light when someone used it, which affected sleep.

- DONT TAKE THE BED 1 OR 2 in the dorm, they are just super noisy as they are near to the common area and bathroom and you can't sleep peacefully
- No water refill available, plus the staff person who was there during night shift, gave false information about prices of water bottle in shop to another traveler. As a staff you should be honest about in store prices and not scam like others
- Wifi is 50-50, sometimes it's good, sometimes it just went away, I will not recommend the place if you are working remotely.

I had a great stay here thanks to the very welcoming and hospitable staff. The shared room was clean and comfortable, and I really appreciated the privacy beds with curtains, personal lights, and power sockets. The host took extra care in helping me navigate the area, especially when visiting nearby tourist spots. Breakfast was a highlight with delicious local food. The price was very reasonable, and the location near Tahrir Square made it easy to explore major attractions.
One small note is that the Rm. 702 bathroom door was a bit difficult to close and required a firm push and cause loud bang noise which disturbed some guest while sleeping. This was only a minor issue and did not affect the overall comfort of my stay.

I had considered staying at the other well-known long-standing hostel in town, but Iโm glad I chose this one. The six-bed room with private bath had new furnishings, and the curtained beds added extra privacy. The space felt fresh and well maintained.
Breakfast was solid and clearly prepared with care each morning. The overall cleanliness of the hostel was excellent, and it felt like a well-run, thoughtfully managed place to stay.
The central location means itโs not perfectly quiet, though the height of the building helps minimize the noise.

The room was spacious, clean and surprisingly quiet (for Cairo downtown)! Nice balcony (overlooking a parking lot but still with a pleasent view). Small but cosy bathroom. Great breakfast!
Donโt be afraid of the elevator, all are like this in Cairo downtown.
The wifi didnโt work in the room, but did in the lounge.

I had a wonderful stay at Landmark Hostel Cairo and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. The location is unbeatableโjust a short walk from Tahrir Square and less than five minutes on foot to the old museum, which made sightseeing incredibly convenient.
One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. It was fresh, generous, and a great way to start the day before heading out to explore Cairo. The staff truly made the experience even betterโthey were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with directions, recommendations, or anything else I needed.
Overall, Landmark Hostel Cairo offers great value, a welcoming atmosphere, and a prime location for exploring the heart of the city. I would definitely stay here again.
One thing to keep in mind is that the hostel is on the 7th floor, and the lift occasionally breaks down, which can be inconvenient after a long day out. However, the overall experience and hospitality still made the stay very enjoyable.
