The cleaning service was very good. The hotel is situated in close proximity to centre of the town, about 15 minutes on foot. Overall, the option is value for money.
Unfortunately, the day before the end of our stay, we found the door of our room open. We left the room at 11:00 am and came back at 11:00 pm. We were lucky that nobody has invaded the room. Protection is a high standard for us and the above occasion is considered unacceptable.

The breakfast is not as bad for a 3 start hotel and it's just 10min walk from the old town.
The lack of maintenance in the common areas is just unacceptable and that is also present inside the room. It's dark, filled with old and damaged furniture

We stayed just one night at Hotel Duke Ameneasca, but it was a perfect choice. The room was very comfortable and impeccably clean, ideal for a short stay. The 24-hour reception was a big plus, as it made check-in and any last-minute needs super easy. The location was also fantastic, close to everything we wanted to see. Highly recommend for anyone looking for convenience and comfort in the area!

A decent size room on a main road for a night or two.
The hotel is not next to tourist attractions, you’ll need to walk or take uber/bolt. I didn’t like the thing that water was cut during the night but returned in the morning, was so weird. The air dryer in the bathroom didn’t work. The breakfast was really basic.

The double-bed in the standard room was pretty small (definitely not a Queen Size bed), as well as the related duvet. However, bed was still comfy and good to sleep.

The room needs some renovation. The curtains were broken. Also it is not at the center of the city, the surroundings are not very pleasant, but peaceful. Unfortunately I was bitten by some bugs at night...

It was in a nice location and the bed was very nice. It can be a bit noisy at times when the tram is passing or people talking loudly in corridor but otherwise it is fine. The balcony is nice but not a great view. Breakfast is alright, the juices are not really nice though. There is enough savoury options but could be nice to have more varieties of pastries. In general, it was a nice short stay.

AC was not working in my room and was so hot, i asked for another room which they gave me, but was the same issue, AC was not working, as the receptionist informed me that they have 3 units and 2 units were out of service.
The room was very dirty , the floor so dusty.
I have made the booking and payment online and requested for the bus shuttle as mentioned on the website, but apparently they do not have this service.
there is no coffee machine in the room as mentioned.
Simply it was the worse hotel i have ever stayed in my life and upset me so much as i was not able to cancel my booking and be refunded.
I would recommended to anyone.

Convenient location, not that far from the city centre.
I recently had a stressful stay at the Duke Hotel in Bucharest, Romania. Despite paying for a three-day reservation in advance, the hotel almost cancelled my room on the third day. To my surprise, they claimed that my reservation was only for two days, which was news to me.
The hotel's communication was unhelpful and abrupt. On the second day, I received a blunt message stating that they were confused about my belongings still being in the room and wondering why I hadn't checked out on time. This lack of clarity and professionalism was disappointing.
The situation was resolved after I contacted the hotel through a Romanian speaking friend, but the experience left a sour taste. Given that I had paid in advance for three days, I expected better communication and service.
Recommendation: Double-check reservation details and communicate clearly with guests to avoid such issues.
