The location in the French Quarter was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast and wine and cheese tasting were lovely treats to look forward to each day.

The A/C in the room was loud and disrupted our sleep a bit, but that is the only complaint. It was too warm to sleep without A/C unfortunately.

The location! In the center of everything and we walked everywhere easily. Parked our car and didn’t need it again until checkout. The rooftop deck was lovely.

It didn’t have a dining room or bar. Made up for it by having breakfast from the outside brought in for the guests where they could eat it in their rooms or the rooftop deck, and a happy hour every day in the lobby.

Gorgeous property right by the water and in the center of town. It had a historical feel. The staff was wonderful, from the guy opening the door and handling your bags to the front desk folks who were so friendly and fast. The breakfast service was so good, with wonderful choices, a choice of time of delivery, and they call you when it's on its way.

The staff goes above & beyond if you need anything. Everyone is extremely friendly! There is wine and cheese hour and warm cookies at 9 pm. They also have flavored water available near the lobby. The location is amazing - ocean views from the balconies.

The only thing that was frustrating was the parking. There is none except a parking garage or valet and that’s $42 per night. Once you figure out how to find the front of the hotel it’s a bit easier, so you can park and have someone park your car for you. It’s an EXTREMELY busy area so traffic was kind of a nightmare.

Love the warm atmosphere and homey feel of the hotel. Absolutely love the whine and cheese hour and love even more the 9pm cookie and milk hour. Every morning there is free coffee and tea out out and well maintained from. 11 am on there is free lemonade, unsweetened iced t and flavored fruit water all on ice. The location is great for those who want to spend a couple of days walking around and exploring Charleston. No need for a car while you're there. The rooftop terrace is also nice, especially now that the view has been obliterated (see below).

A large hotel and event complex (The Cooper, opening March 2026) has been built across the street from the Harbourview, which limits or obliterates the view of the harbor. The photos online still show a green garden-like area between the Inn and the river and open views of the water and Charleston's iconic bridge. This lack of updated photos is deceptive, and the view was not what I paid a premium rate to experience. My advice is , if the location works for you, get the cheapest room you can and make use of their rooftop terrace. The rooms with "harbor view" balconies aren't worth it anymore.

Everything. The room was great, well equipped with high ceilings. The little floor lobby with the cold and hot beverage selection was very useful. The 5 pm wine and charcuterie was surprisingly good and allowed a cozy and friendly atmosphere between guests. The staff is friendly and helpful and the location is perfect.

The location was fantastic. The staff were very attentive and excellent. I love the touches such as having an afternoon cocktail hour along with appetizers and then later in the evening, milk and cookies. It was a very warm and welcoming and violent environment.
