The highly professional team.

Absolute lack of closet space for jumpers etc by the entrance. We chose the hotel for its pool but it was closed. The breakfast vouchers were hardly enough to cover the costs of the breakfast. No decent duvets (as per US), uncomfortable sofa bed, microwave at the FLOOR level. The water we were given was in plastic bottles (!).

Location location location. It was right where we needed to be and had everything we liked around it.

The pool was closed and part of the reason we booked this hotel is so the kids could swim in the evenings. When we checked in they said the pool would be opened and it wasn’t until the day we left. Some staff were short and not helpful. The guy who checked us in was great though and he was very accommodating.

The view of the pool was great! Short walk to everything. Clean, comfortable.

At night the pool was packed and not controlled well. Parents not paying attention. People drinking alcohol. It was complete chaos. Nothing the property really could do about it.

The location of the hotel was great. Walking distance from great food, mall, and not too far from navy pier. I like the suite style rooms. The extra space was nice having a toddler.

The room was extremely hot. I asked staff what I could do. They stated only the heat was on in the building so they suggested to shut off the heat completely and open the windows. There were no screens on the windows so we had to just hope no bugs got in.

The hotel staff was beyond exceptional. The room wasn't opulent, but very nice, exactly as described, and VERY comfortable. The location was great for US, because of what we were there to do. Other locations may be preferable to other travelers depending on what their needs are, but this Hilton has fantastic valet and concierge staff, and is close to excellent restaurants, and close enough to mass transit to reach anywhere in the city easily.

Any complaint would be nitpicking, because we got more than we expected.

We had a suite, I.e. living room, bedroom, bathroom, which was very nice. For breakfast one morning we had a quiche with a small salad which was delicious.

One of the elevators did not move, very minor touchups in the bathroom would have been desirable. Read the instructions for the coffee machine in the kitchen, it is easy to make a mistake when operating it

Location and facilities and space.

The let down was the porter for our luggage as we were departing. He was downright unfriendly, which was discordant with our experience so far but he then dropped our suitcase as he was transferring off the luggage cart and damaged one of the wheels. Accidents will happen but his overall attitude left a very sour taste. My wife tipped him on policy but it was poor service.

Room smelled musty, toilet would run forever when flushed, toilet overflowed first morning, maintenance came to plunge. Front desk didn’t follow up or care Third day started acting up again. On checkout I reminded them not to put anyone in the room until it was repaired
