Location is excellent. Great staff. Nice rooms.
$50 dollars a day deposit is held on top of the price I was quoted for a four night stay. The charge wont be returned for 5 to 10 business days after you pay. Never had a hotel do this. Poorly explained by staff.

The location! For a downtown option in Chicago at this price, it's an excellent option. We were walkable to all of the bars and restaurants, and other attractions on Millennium Mile. We were also able to walk along the lakeside to a boat tour with the Chicago Architecture Society (which I would also recommend). A few aspects of the room showed their age, a cupboard door that wouldn't shut, etc. But nothing serious. Overall, it was a nice, big, comfortable room in the centre of Chicago with all of the facilties we needed.
I don't like shower curtains over baths anyway, I prefer to just have an enclosed shower unit in a hotel room, but this one was particularly slippy and I almost fell on a couple of occasions.

Location Accommodated later check in
Staff was polite in person, not so much on the phone. Humg up on us twice. Hung the Maid Service sign on the door knob. It was ignored. Front desk said that we were told on check in that we needed to request services before 11 a.m. if we wanted it.Not

We loved the hotel for the most part! I loved the style of this hotel. The location was perfect. The staff was great. My room was clean and ready on time.
The only issues that I had was with our room. We had a room with 2 full size beds and one of the beds( mine) was very uncomfortable. It was very stiff and made my back hurt. Also the temp in the room wouldnt go lower than 74.

Not that I didnt like it but communication could be better! I paid for a late check out and we had 4 people 1 even being security knocking on our door regarding the late check out! So a little more communication would be key
