The location is perfect, right on the Hollywood boardwalk. The room was clean. But the facility, although it could sleep 4, only had dishes for 1.

Booking.com quoted us $538. US, but La Terrace insisted on charging us $608. US. I explained that we assumed the booking price would be our cost, told that was booking.com price but not the establishments. NO Deal. Never go there again. I would not know that the actual price in advance. Very disappointed with Booking.com as well. I don't trust their information for future trips.

Excellent location directly on the beach, boardwalk and surrounded by shops and restaurants. We usually stay at 4 star or better hotels but we were only in town for 1 day and wanted the easiest beach access so decided to try La Terrace. What a great surprise! We flew from Boston to escape the cold, snowy weather for a day. We arrived late after the office had closed but had no problem because they left the key in a lockbox. We parked for free in our reserved spot they had for us, went to our room, (which is directly on the beach), put our bag down and then stepped right onto the boardwalk which had families walking by, couples on bicycles and rollerbladers. We took a stroll to decide which of the laid back, outdoor restaurants we would have dinner at and decided on one of our favorites, which is The Taco Joint. Prices are great and food is excellent. We had fried Mahi Mahi tacos, fried Lobster tacos and steak tacos, and corn on the cob with cochita cheese crumbles on top. Tacos are $3 and $5! Fun people watching from that spot while you drink your Pina Colada out of a Pineapple or Coconut. We then had ice cream from a cute little shop that makes your ice cream individually with whatever flavors you choose out of liquid nitrogen and it was amazing! They have adorable table and chairs that look like ice cream cones. My daughter has allergies and they were great accommodating us. Today is our day at the beach and it is great not to have to walk a long way to or from our room or have to wait for an elevator packed with people just to be outside. The view is amazing from here. The room also has a complete kitchen with stove, full size refrigerator, microwave and dishes. I’m normally a Hotel Snob that usually stays at a 4 or 5 star hotel like “Margaritaville” a few doors down, but this was excellent. Great beach day today, back to Boston tomorrow morning!

No beach towels available as advertised, beach chairs cheapo, curtains also cheapo, no shelf in bathroom (where do these places think we should set our toiletries?).

It was right on the beach and boardwalk so convenient to just walk to a few steps to beach or eat or restaurants. There were even chairs outside rooms to get some sun. Nice big room with eating area. Perfect to spend a long time there.

There is very limited toiletries so bring your own, no bar soap just shampoo. It is very convenient to be so close to everything but can also hear music when trying to go to sleep. A little outdated but comfy and great value would defiantly go back!
