It was clean
It’s super outdated and old. Our shower was not clean and had someone’s hair in it. This old hotel is not worth $123/night that I paid. Absolutely ludicrous. Plus, it’s a smell from the carpet. Upgrade this place immediately. This hotel is worth $75/night.

The Staff. The staff was very rude and aggresive. Two of the staff were not willing to assist in a simple question. Maybe the worse staff I ever met in a hotel. They started shouting and threatening with absoloutely no reason. As a foreigner I felt very uncomfortable.

This hotel does not live up to Marriott standards. It is worn and dirty. It is a converted apartment complex that is decades old.

Comfortable bad. Large room. Good breakfast Excellent location
They handed us a paper saying there would be no hot water in the morning after we checked in. That should've been disclosed upon reservations or they could've moved us to another property. Was not pleasant surprised

Break fast was excellent but maybe need a little bit more variety...nothing too extravagant, but more variety
I had requested a late check out of 5pm on Friday 8th March and was grated this by the person at the front desk. this was requested on the morning of 5th March and this was confirmed. Only to be told on Friday 8th that they dont do 5pm check outs and had to vacate the room by 3 pm.

Good size of the room, nice location next to shopping mall, comfortable beds. Rooms have also kitchen with big fridge. Internet is good enough.
Worst part is that walls are made of paper, so you constantly overhear your neighbors. If one of them wakes up early, means that you do the same. One night alarm clock next door went at 04.00.
Breakfasts are a joke, not worth paying a dime for it.
I will defiantly not stay there again.

After pulling in to the parking lot and unloading / hauling our belongings to the front desk to check in, we were met by the Night Shift Manager. They were extremely rude and discourteous t to my Wife who was attempting to figure out how our reservation had been moved to the next day despite an overwhelming amount of evidence in the way of emails and text messages and finally phone conversations with Booking.com Agents. This person who we believe was responsible for the entire situation that eventually escalated to the point where we found ourselves sleeping in the back of our U-haul van with our ESA Pet Luna (7 1/2 yrs, Female Belgian Malinois) despite being charged $125 for a room we never stepped foot inside. We were put out on the street the following 2-nights because of the issue we found ourselves in due to the Night Managers bizarre and aggressive behavior. I've never been yelled at in a hotel lobby front desk to "leave!" after being told that we did not have a room for that night only to be charged a cancellation fee of $125 shortly thereafter. The final sum of charges that drafted from my bank account was up around $400 dollars?!? This situation was entirely avoidable and could have been avoided if Hotel Staff would have followed General Company Policies and made an effort to be kind and treat others how they would like to be treated.
Please read above. Thank you

We went next door for brunch as Grand Luxo restaurant which has the best breakfasts in Houston - just a 5 min walk.
The courtyards that connect the 4 story residential units lack any charm or character at all, you get the feeling you are in an industrial warehouse zone. Nearby sidewalks rough. But that is inner city Houston for you. Rooms and lobby ok.

From the front desk to housekeeping all excellent customer service from the time I got the time I got there to the time I left. Especially the front desk. I wish there was a second elevator side or the stair hallways were clean and the pool.
Just the stairway well dirty and stunk. Pool dirty

The hotel is a gem, nestled on a quiet street across from The Galleria Houston. It has been fully upgraded with modern touches in the rooms. Bed was very comfortable. The front office staff were helpful and made sure that there was a follow up to one concern with the room keys.
The complimentary breakfast was above normal.
The elevator way in the back corner is a potential security concern. Anyone off the street can walk through the front gate and stalk and corner someone. Also, you really need to cover/hide the white free-standing toilet at the front of the garage. Really not a good look.

Strategic, Galleria Mall is just within walking distance. Parking is easy.
Despite booking way in advance, we got a Handicap room, so so noisy with the heating/cooling system right in the middle of the living room, had to shut the door to the bedroom to lessen the noise ( not really helping much) room feels dark, not our best experience.

The hotel is great and most of the staff are very friendly and efficient
I'm furious that after speaking with the receptionist at check out and having sent numerous messages through booking.com, I have been ignored regarding being charged for 3 days of parking that we didn't use.
Reception assured me that management would arrange a refund to my credit card. It never happened.

The location
I booked a room with a balcony that somehow was changed to a king suite. The shower didn’t work; but I was given another room where the ceiling was peeling at the entrance way of the bathroom. The ice machine made 8 cubes per day & on the last night there was a HUGE cockroach! Not to mention the pool was closed & the staff did not advise me prior to check in. The purpose of selecting this hotel was for the balcony & pool & I received NEITHER!

It was an okay location to everything we were doing that weekend. Less than 15 minutes away from stuff. The room was cozy amd cute.
I didn't mind the room being small, I mean I booked that size. But, the curtains were really see-through that it was hard to sleep without seeing everyone that walked past. Also, I did have a cockroach in the bathroom right after I showered trying to run away, i killed it of course, but it made me just itchy all night.

I liked that it’s close to The Galleria.
The mirror in my bedroom was cracked upon arrival. The tv in the living room area did not work at all. A woman working the breakfast area yelled at my friend & I. She pointed her finger in our face & accused us of taking too long at a station. The encounter felt very intimidating. She was very rude & hostile & after talking to general management, we did not get an apology at all. The only thing we were told was that it would be investigated. It felt very much like the situation was being rubbed off. Mind you, at the time the woman yelled at us, my friend & I were fixing coffee & cleaning up the sugar & cream containers. The trash can directly next to us did not have a trash bag in it so it took longer for me to gather my items (a cup of hot coffee, a plate of food, keys, phone, & the trash that I needed to carry across the room to another trash can) … the continental breakfast was not worth the fuss anyway so I left my food there & checked out

The property is clean and in good condition. The location is great, literally a short walk down the street to the Galleria Mall which has lots of shops and places to eat. The rooms are very large in size. The breakfast was decent.
When we checked in we were asked if we were parking on the property, we replied yes. At no point were we told that we would be charged $16 a day. There was ample parking in the street and had we known we would have saved ourselves the fee and parked there. This should have been stated up front and not something i discovered on my bill after we had already left.
