The location of the property and very good, possibly one in one of the best areas in LA and the rooms were nicely decorated.
I booked this hotel for my self and my 2 teenage children. The room had to have 2 double beds, however after they checked-in the 3 of us, they gave us the key card for a room that had just 2 single beds. I called the reception and they told me that the hotel room can only accomdate 2 guests. When I explained we booked for 3 and paid for 3, she just said that the management will call us. The manager, James, come to the room and went full defensive and told us that it was our fault as we should have booked direct and not through booking.com, and that booking.com made a mistake in the listing and we should take it out with booking.com. We then showed him the listing and incredibly, he stated that they have no control on what booking.com advertises, which is a big fat lie. He then changed version and said that the room is correct as a double bed in America is the size of a single bed and it was my responsibility as a guest to verify the size of a double bed in America. So in America it seems that everything is big and oversized, except a double bed, as a double bed is in fact a single bed. After a lot of hassle, they changed us the room to one with a yard but same beds and gave us some friut to apologize but for me there is no sense of care and hospitality in this hotel. I ending sleeping on the floor because they would not give us an extra bed as they said it was a fire hazard, so it is okay to sleep on the floor but not on a foldable bed. Blaming the guest because he booked through booking.com and telling the guest that as a hotel, they have no control on the listing is unacceptable. We travelled all around America, this year, and hospitality in this country was top everywhere we went, however in this hotel, hospitality and the sense of care and respect for the guest was inexistent, at least for us.

They made a mistake with our breakfast included in the rate. They didn’t clean our rooms nicely during our stay.

I enjoyed the rooftop experience and the included American Breakfast was exceptional
I was VERY surprised to see a barking dog on his own pool chaise in the middle of the row of chaise, impeding other people from choosing a chaise in that area and I was most upset by a group of children screaming and playing Marco Polo for hours. This is not a moderately priced family resort. Kids welcome, of course, but, no control over the pool area in such a high priced property caused those not with small children to not enjoy their rooftop experience.

Reception was not as my expectations whether by phone or on site,
Breakfast was delicious and good but the area was with too much noise whether dishes noise or people talking and laughing, I wanted a quite morning with good breakfast
Checkout is at 11 ! (I don’t like hotels whom I should checkout at 11:00 AM) I requested late checkout they told me you have to call the same day in the morning, I called them from the hotel and after discussing with them they accepted that I leave the hotel at 12:00 pm (one hour more) I asked them I can pay for late checkout till 6 pm but they asked for extra night charge, otherwise I can pay 150$ for late checkout at 16:00 / 4:00 pm
To summarize I wish that booking.com make it clear what time is checkin (3 pm usually) and what time is checkout 12:00 pm usually, but since some hotels want the checkout at 11 AM it is necessary that we know in advance and clearly, not written elsewhere
Also other small things I did not like, but small things accumulate and made big discomfort for me

The location was perfect for the reason we needed to be in California. The staff was excellent all around, from the time you step out of the car from the airport to the time we left to return to the airport.
The Restruants there were very nice.

The rooms are super nice, and clean, and the hotel is in a fantastic location.
I was only staying a few hours, so I told the staff I would just park on the street to avoid the $70 valet charge. They didn't bother telling me street parking is illegal overnight, so I got a $63 ticket. Makes sense why they charge $70 ! The gym got rid of all weights in favor of three "Tonal" machines. I tried ALL THREE, and got all sorts of errors (mostly server errors). Made it impossible to work out. The hotel just doesn't have the same vibe it did a few years ago.

First of all, hotel seems deserted as once you enter you will smell the carpets, the paint and a smell of cardboard. The overall design is so creepy, starting with the lobby and then the hallways as rooms were marked with pictures of creepy people. The room is covered with mirrors and bathroom is exposed with two open walls. The shower is very dirty as you can see a chalky residue around the silver faucets. Breakfast was the worst allowing only two of us to enjoy for free “not totally free where you should pay extra for the tax” and not our kids because they are above 12 yrs old. Finally, they will charge you extra where you can utilize only for food and not to use for laundry or other services.

Nothing. I was welcomed with a lot of excuses like they can’t find my booking because they don’t check booking.com reservations so they had to make us wait for a long time to sort it out and only after I spoke to another gentleman and asked him to sort out anything with the aggregator but to give us the rooms that he managed to get it sorted.
It was a lot of hidden charges. Parking is $70 a day which is crazy! Even though breakfast was included but they charge you gratuity and other taxes so we ended up with a daily bill of $100+ which made it not worthwhile to be honest. The elevator had some food dropped in morning and was still there at night when we came back to the room.
The corridor smelled bad and I can’t just explain how bad overall I felt about the place and I think it was mainly the hidden charges everywhere!
Even the 35 credit per day is applicable only on spend of that day and not counted based on your total expenses during your stay.

The overall stay was great - the staff was friendly, the amenities were as needed, the rooftop pool was great. The room was spacious, we got an adapter downstairs for EU socket, waters resupplied daily.
The location wasn't as close to walkable destinations and the breakfast could have provided some variety.
