My experience was great. Obviously not a four star hotel, but my experience was very acceptable. Staff helpful and friendly. Room clean.
Neighborhood not great but ok. I rented a car so didn't use public transportation. It looked like it would be easy to get around, plenty of buses.
My business was not downtown Portland, although I did go into Portland, and finding parking was pretty easy. I should have taken the bus.
There was nothing not to like.

Excellent location with a friendly staff. Many great little shops and eateries within a few blocks. The property was well kept up, and the room was clean and comfortable. And, though, the hotel being situated on an arterial road, it was very quiet. Definitely will be staying there on my next trip.
If it's not a peak travel time (i.e. holiday or a major event) a "late" check-out time for those with late afternoon flights would be nice.
I would have liked to have seen a "smoking area" with a butt can, though I assume that lack keeps transients from frequenting the property. Those are the only 2 trivial negatives I can think of!

Nice, updated hotel in a nice area that is close to lots of bars, restaurants etc. Great for a short stay.
Wouldve liked a kettle, tea/coffee in the room and some utensils maybe, but those are just small things.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was newly remodeled. So, the inside of the room was nice. There are restaurants in walking distance. Right next to two good food trucks. It wasn't far from the venues I was going to.
The outside of the building needs work. It looks like a motel where shady people are. So, when I drove up, I was ready to go somewhere else. I wasn't sure of how safe it was, so I asked the manager. He said it was a safe neighborhood. I didn't like the fact that my room door opened up to the sidewalk on the street. The room was not as clean as it should be. I had to dust off the air conditioner, and the filter didn't look that clean. For the price paid, I expected a better overall facility. Now, I know why the picture of the outside of the building was taken at night.

This is a decent motel with free parking, which is one of the reasons we chose it, and a good location near restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. The room seemed to be remodeled somewhat and was clean. The bed was small but comfortable. It was a fine place to stay for one night.
The motel was fine, but its definitely a basic accommodation. Its fine for a short stay, but I probably wouldnt stay longer. The room also smelled pretty strongly like weed, so people are definitely smoking in there.

Love the trip to the falls and the lunch cruise at the river. Our stay at excecutive Lodge was perfect nice place and just beside it you can find a very good tasting burger food truck and also a Korean food truck everything is just right beside you.

It was very convenient to the venue.
The heater blew air through the curtains and didn't circulate through the room and I froze all night, 3am didn't want to wake reception. I didn't sleep at all and it ruined my birthday plans as I couldn't drive to my next location on no sleep. I was devastated and wasn't feeling good at all. The neighbor blasted his TV all night, there were gunshots outside. All of this ruined my plans.

The location was easy to get to, on a major street but wasn't too noisy. Just 6 blocks from Revolution Hall, a music venue we went to. Looked recently updated & really clean. A Voodo Donughts a block away!

It was clean, the family that owns and runs the place are polite and helpful. I got into town earlier than expected and they got my room ready within an hour. It was clean and quiet. Doesn't hurt that Voodoo Doughnuts is within throwing distance.

Really good quality for the budget price. Mini fridge was a bonus. Bring your own toiletries, they only have a bar of soap.
Most of the parking spots are tight, but the on-site lot is nice. When we were there, two cars were taking up 4 parking spots -- and were not asked to move? -- leaving other guests like us without parking :(

It was walking distance to the Max light rail and the theatre we were attending on Saturday. It was clean and newly updated. The staff was friendly,
There was a LOT of traffic noise, including sirens, Friday night. And quite a lot of pedestrian noise ( loud talking, laughter, etc. ) continuing until early morning Saturday. Not quite so much the second night. It is what I would call a motel, outside doors to rooms, uncovered parking in a lot. It also borders an industrial area, but it feels like it is a neighborhood which is being updated a bit.

Excellent location, close to food and bars. Awesome that it had a parking lot, the only one in the area really. Super close to a park which was nice. Even nicer that voodoo donuts was right around the corner.
the fluorescent lights above the bed were horrible, the lighting in general was weird. could have been cleaner, the remote looked like it had never been cleaned. there were large visible crumbs on top of the fridge, seemed weird that it wasn't seen beforehand.

It was convenient to the city, public transport, eateries and cafs, and very comfortable.
The only thing I might suggest is perhaps a small kettle or coffee maker in the room, or by request, but they did have hot, fresh coffee available in the office every day, so that was very much appreciated.

The room was very nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. The fridge and micowave were all I needed. This is a great location if you are looking to stay within walking distance of the convention center. It is a short, pleasant walk to get there from the Executive Lodge
I have no complaints! The desk clerk (owner?) was very friendly, and the room was exactly what I was looking for. I was able to leave my vehicle and walk each day, saving me on additional parking costs.

Clean, recently updated/renovated, comfy bed/pillows. Provided on the wall hanging for clothing. Room included a microwave and mini fridge, plus a/c. Good wifi reach too, and rooms overlook parking area felt safe.
Needed a full-length mirror in the room. Ended up standing on a chair to try and get a better look.

Portland is a cesspit that would be more useful if a large wall were built around the entire place and it used as a penal colony.
